The Discover Scuba experience will give you the opportunity to try scuba gear and make a real dive in shallow water. We'll give you a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Although it's not a certification course, you can get credit. If you decide to continue diving, this experience may count towards PADI Scuba Diver or Open water Diver certification – putting you a step ahead when you decide to go for it!
You'll dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional at all times.

Prerequisites:

  • You must be at least 10 years.
  • You must be able to swim.
  • You must be a healthy person. There is a medical questionnaire that you need to fill out.

PADI Scuba Diver Course

PADI Scuba Diver Certification on St Maarten This is your first level certification – especially for those of you who are short on time and want to become a certified diver. You need less time than the PADI Open Water Diver course, and results in a limited certification. It covers only the first 3 sections of knowledge development (instead of 5), the first 3 pool sessions (instead of 5) and the first 2 open water training dives (instead of 4). Consider this course if you expect to go scuba diving primarily in the company of a dive guide or if you have limited time to devote to scuba certification.

As a Scuba Diver you are qualified to:

  • Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres / 40 feet.
  • Rent or purchase scuba equipment, get your tank filled, and participate in other diving activities as long as they have the required supervision.
  • Whenever you're ready you can easily upgrade it towards the PADI Open Water Diver course, and learn diving independently.

Prerequisites:

  • You must be at least 15 years, or 10 years for the Junior Scuba Diver certification.
  • You must be able to swim.
  • You must be in good health.

What do you learn?:

First you'll need to do some academics – the most convenient way to do this is through e-learning.

  • Got to www.padi.com and access the eLearning section.
  • Sign up to do the bookwork and final exam online.
  • Dive Adventures store number is 15365, when you enter our store number we'll receive an email when you're done and we'll get in touch with you to plan the rest of the course.

The rest of the course consists of a morning in the pool where we'll go over the necessary skills.
After that you only need to make the 2 Open Water Dives and then you're certified!

PADI Enriched Air Diver

PADI Enriched Air Diver Get more bottom time!! Scuba diving with enriched air, nitrox, gives you more no decompression dive time. So you can spend more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. That's why it's easy to see why the PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI's most popular specialty scuba diving course. You can stay down longer and get back in the water sooner!!

What you learn?

  • Techniques for getting more dive time by using enriched air nitrox
  • Enriched air scuba diving equipment considerations
  • Enriched air considerations, including managing oxygen exposure, analyzing the air in your scuba tank and how to set your dive computer

You can do the theory of the PADI Enriched Air Diver course online through www.padi.com or buy the book in our dive shop.

You'll find out that there are more reasons to do this course:

  • Popular wrecks tend to be deeper, so enriched air maximizes your exploration time.
  • Photographers usually like to make several dives so they can get lots of pictures. Enriched air reduces the amount of residual nitrogen you accumulate, allowing repetitive dives to be longer
  • Enriched air reduces the amount of residual nitrogen you accumulate, so your body recovers faster and easier after diving, especially if you dive more than one dive per day and more days in a row.
