Sandra
Sandra hails from Holland. Made her very first dive in Curacao in 1991 and decided to get certified in Holland. She has dived many places on the planet; Israel, Egypt, Indonesia, Malta, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cozumel, Belize, Bonaire, Tobago, Dominica, Saba. She recently got married on the island to longtime partner Eric. After travelling the world working and diving, they have settled to make St Maarten their home.Sandra is the nicest, calmest, most unflappable diver instructor you could ever wish to meet. There is no drama, no fuss and no problem when you dive with her. Her students excel, her divers ask for her specifically and if there are kids involved, we ask for Sandra. She loves teaching and diving with kids, also divers with a special need can count on her. And always on the lookout for spotted drum fish, her favorite!
Soinet
Occasionally in life you come across a colourful and lively personality who simply sticks in your mind. Well, wait until you meet Soinet! He is our boat captain, our go-to guy, our true blue rock solid member of our team.Soinet started out with Aqua Mania Adventures as a dock attendant 7 years ago, and with much effort, negotiating and wailing…the water sports loss was the dive shops gain. He knows the best dive sites, the safest giant strides off that back platform, and he is the helping hand you reach for to get back up after an eventful dive. No one forgets Soinet! (pronounced Swanee).
Anne
Anne Vermaas has recently joined Dive Adventures. She hails from Hellvoetsluis, Holland and is a bright and energetic Dive Instructor. Anne studied Tourism and Economics at Stenden University in Holland and enjoys travelling the world and of course scuba diving. Welcome Anne!
Irene
Irene hails from Holland and is new to our team since December 2011. At 23 years old she is also the youngest member and with that she brings along lots of smiles and a fantastic happy attitude. She has worked and dived in Greece as a Divemaster. Last year she decided to come to St. Maarten to do her IDC and became a PADI instructor.Irene is passionate about diving and teaching, having fun sharing her enthusiasm about diving and the underwater world. She’s ready to work hard and never loses her friendly smile on the way. She’s got that calm and gentle attitude that puts divers at ease and makes for a good experience.
Gil Amigo
Just his name alone means friend. As Dive Master Gil brings 30 years of diving experience to Dive Adventures and always ready to share that with everyone he come in contact with.Gil doubles as boat captain, dive buddy and Mister Fix-It. He blends in seamlessly wherever there is a gap. Don’t be surprised if one day he is diving next to you and the next day fixing up the dive store.
